I'm Jessica Papageorge, BSN-RN, CHPN
I am a certified hospice and palliative care registered nurse with real-world experience in clinical leadership, EMR optimization, QAPI, and compliance. I’ve served on the Nurse Steering Committee for the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) and spent the majority of my hospice career in clinical leadership.
Since transitioning to independent consulting, I’ve helped hospice agencies improve documentation, reduce risk, and prepare confidently for survey using a framework adapted from the case manager’s approach to care planning: a thorough assessment, clear identification of gaps, collaborative goal-setting, and individualized, evidence-based interventions to strengthen documentation, workflows, and survey readiness. Like many of you, I was called to hospice and palliative care. I enjoy this unique role as I am able to help the helpers-- working to protect the integrity of the hospice philosophy in a rapidly evolving industry.
